With the way the corporate environment works, it’s easy to get caught up in chasing the big goals. But often, it’s the small, everyday achievements that fuel our motivation and drive us towards our ultimate goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Over the years I have led teams, I have tried to build a team dynamic in which we recognise and celebrate small wins with each other. By acknowledging the hard work, dedication, and progress of team members, we create a positive and supportive environment that fosters growth and innovation. Teams that celebrate small wins encourage people to share their ideas; team members feel confident about sharing their thoughts because the environment is one of trust and mutual respect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Recently, a team I advise managed a tech breakthrough in the development of their backend system. The celebration was nothing over-the-top; a stand-up with the wider group to acknowledge \u201chey, they did this\u201d. This work was appreciated by the wider group and this appreciation of the team was well received.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Let’s remember to appreciate the journey and celebrate every milestone, no matter how small. After all, it’s the accumulation of these small wins that leads to big successes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
